walk-and-flowers-012walk-and-flowers-030This coming Friday, 8th of May at 1:00 I will be giving a  cookery demo at Crisdare home Accessories Shop on Market St. in Ennis. It is a promotion for  The Burren Slow Food Festival which is on from Friday, 15 May through Sunday 17-May. Go to to view the brochure. I will be giving a cookery demo at the festival on Sunday at 4:30 in the Pavilion.

In my demos I cook 3 gluten free and non-dairy recipes from                 Coming Home To Cook,  talk about vegetarian foods and their nutritional properties, answer lots of questions and there’s lots of tastings. Yum!

Come and enjoy the demos, festival and the beautiful Burren. May is the perfect month in the Burren. The wildlowers are peeking up through the grikes in the rocks and on the limestone meadows. Last weekend I enjoyed a Butterfly walk in the Burren National Park  sponsored by Burren Beo. Great information, and a beautiful walk but no butterflies in sight – it was too cold!  Afterwards we went to Annaliese’s and were wowed by the fields of rare gentians.  Tiny petals of deep blue with dark stems,  interspersed were purple orchids and yellow primrose.   Another great reason to visit west clare in the summer.
